Welcome to October, Loves!
It's been a hot minute since I've sat down to write a little end of month roundup of what we've been up to. These last few months have been full of making and creating though, so, here I am, sitting down to show you what we've been up to this winter with our monthly roundup winter 2019.
Boulangerie Stationery Collection
A big chunk of this past season has been dedicated to the design and creation of this here beauty.
Celebrating the wafting scent of baking bread and scrumptious pastries. Fresh herbs and good red wine. Warm summer skin and sundresses. Boulangerie started its life as a collection of watercolour illustrations of bakery shops and food trucks, then blossomed into a selection of artworks honouring the good food of Spring.
We've expanded the range to include art prints, greeting cards, cute notepads, recipe card sets that would be the perfect gift for food lovers, gift wrapping sets with gift tags and pretty little gift toppers, tissue paper and baker's twine -- and something we're incredibly excited for -- our own gift wrapping paper (which is something I've been wanting to do for simply years)!
New Pink and Charcoal Watercolour Crest
I'm very much in love with the popularity that peonies have been enjoying these past few years. Out of a world full of flowers, they really are some of the nicest to me.
I wanted to celebrate my love for pink peonies with watercolour and decided to immortalise them with a new crest! This was such a fun watercolour crest to design and illustrate, and now you can enjoy them too! Our new crest is now available in our Hello Pretty store.
Semi-Custom Indigo Shibori Inspired Invitation Suite
Inspired by the gorgeous tones and textures of indigo shibori-dyed fabrics, I spent ages trying to recreate a shibori-like feel with watercolour paints.
After much experimentation, I think I've got it! I've wanted to use a watercolour shibori texture in an invitation suite for a while now and am so pleased to add this beauty to our collection of semi-custom suites. (There's also a digital version in our Hello Pretty store 😉 )
Guest Post over on The Lovilee Blog with Watercolour Leopard Print Place Cards
Back at the beginning of winter, I had the marvellous opportunity to guest post again on one of my favourite lifestyle blogs Lovilee Blog.
I created a tutorial on making a simply gorgeous watercolour pattern in leopard print which we then turned into super cute place cards. You can catch up and read it over here to make your own!
Overall, it's been a copiously productive season and we couldn't be happier with the direction Caterham's taking and all the goodies we're making. Here's to a wonderful rest of spring and summer season in the studio.
